Challenge 1127: Bartholdi's basket
This comes courtesy of GKB, on his travels. I'll let him explain:

I saw this in the Bartholdi museum in Colmar. Auguste Bartholdi was the sculptor who created the Statue of Liberty and many other French national monuments.

I’m not sure if this is the final work or a maquette for a much larger piece but I wondered what they might be carrying and why they seem to be pulling in opposite directions.

High res is here.

Whose full title at time of creation was "Liberty Enlightening the World".

Not without a certain irony nowadays .................;

Re: Challenge 1127: Bartholdi's basket
Excerpt From "Art & Collecting” :

“This fine carved marble ornamental piece is representative of the Neo-Greek style. The two removal workers, seen in this sculpture handling a bulky and heavy object, depict the twentieth century novelty song “Right Said Fred” written by Ted Dicks and Miles Rudge. This amusing little ditty gained an ephemeral popularity in 1968 when it was performed by the actor, narrator and singer Bernard Joseph Cribbins OBE for the Parlophone record company.”

Nice Loyd! It was commonly believed in ancient times that Beaujolais spilling was the result of clumsiness sent by the Gods as a punishment for married men of this particular region of France who failed to properly practice monogamay.

Dennis that's beautifully done. Mind you, South Africans do know a thing or two about good wine.

I'm struggling with this one. As usual, when struggling I resort to silliness rather than good Photoshop.

Although my own input is strictly David Mac, I think we may be fairly sure that my base image must be AI.

Thanks David...and Castle Beer. Also, an acquired taste. I'm having 1 now. Mind you, that's a lot of work you put in with your; "so called, no idea." Good one.

Re: Challenge 1127: Bartholdi's basket
Just to be clear, my image is a ready made image (I am presuming AI) of a Greek city that I pulled off the web.

My contribution (no AI) was simply the inclusion of the colourised challenge image and a speech bubble.

No brain surgery ...............

Not necessarily ..... apparently the use of ass's milk as a beauty treatment has undergone a revival.

Re: Challenge 1127: Bartholdi's basket

This dense, ancient woodland forms part of Bisham Woods, located right on the edge of Cookham Dean. Its shadowed paths, thick canopy, and hollows provided the exact atmospheric blueprint for Badger's secretive winter refuge and the threatening "Wild Wood.

I did use AI to reconstruct and engrave the base of the plinth. I used RELIGHT in Beta - technically it is AI

You and I do love our backlight. It's lovely here.

Which, since you do not mention them, implies that you did not use AI for the, far more difficult, Badger and friend and basket/boat contents. If that is so, this is wonderfully impressive work Ben. I wouldn't like to attempt it. Wow!
