Contest 58: It's that man again!
Here's the only press shot of George Dubya watching the recent Space Shuttle lift off. You have to feel sorry for the guy - all that technology, and he can't afford a decent plasma TV. He can't even find a decent carpet fitter. (But he has managed to get hold of a vampire photographer, who leaves no reflection in the mirror.) Note the handy remote control, in case he gets bored with the launch and wants to change channel. Can anyone improve his public image? High res is here. I used seven images to make this one. The one that is not so obvious is the man behind the camera (the top of the head should be reconizable). Steve, has now resorted to paparazzi tactics to provide us with photos. I really hope the CIA aren't monitoring this forum. Especially Atomicfog's entry - I think they might forgive the Budweiser can (just the right weak drink for a reformed alcoholic) and the joint (he clearly isn't inhaling), but I'm sure they'd be worried about whatever that thing is growing out of his lap… Fabulous work from Neal, I really like the way all those extra elements are so convincingly fitted into the montage. Great subtle shadows - behind the clock and the Powder Puff Girls photo, for example - and the reflections of the monkey and the mug are terrific. I looked at the reflection of the bag on the table for a while before I figured out what was wrong, though: it breaks neatly around that wood box on the table, but shouldn't we be able to see a reflection of the box as well? A really clean piece of work from MJ, with a perfectly positioned (and lit!) Mrs B through the window. Great fit on the new carpet (a big improvement) but one or two perspective issues on the new TV, especially the stand. Love the photographer! Excellent work from all of you! |
