Wow! Some really fantastic images! Real artistic and creative ideas!

Mine, well, it was what came to mind... not the best quality but fun putting it together!

Glad it didn't post actually... think I'll see about re-working this, really not pleased with it!

Well, decided to pull the thing, not happy with it at all... hopefully will get another one posted before the deadline... but if not, will enjoy the creativity of everyone elses'!

I'm too lazy (and untalented) to get into this week's foray, but gazing at the images here I absolutely cannot resist rating everyone here as "Creative Geniuses." The renditions are good enough, but the concepts...the ideas...are brilliant. Wowwwww.

Photoslopper, come on in, the pixels are fine. Nobody drowns here. I also bet you can't prove you're untalented.

Thanks Pierre but I was looking at it again with a 'morning after' critical eye and with Steve's words of, "detail detail" and, lately, "perspective" in mind and saw a few tweaks that really needed to be done quickly (or before Thursday night). This is why I feel it would be good to be able to change a picture rather than add another.

Take 2

You were quite dashing Pierre, in your younger monochrome days!

Hi everybody... this is my first post and my first friday challenge too. I'm Pablo from Argentina and this book was my first big step into photoshop. I'm 17 and I'm still in high school. I'll study something called "multimedial designer", if I have to translate it. It's related to photoshop, illustrator, after effects, 3d animation.. etc.

Well, I must congratulate Steve for this book.. is really excellent and it was very helpful to me.

Hope you like my image... (plese be considered, it's my first one )

Greets. =)

Hi Pablo and welcome to the forum. I recognise the Glenfinnan Monument at Loch Sheil in Scotland. It is a far cry from Argentina.

Out of interest, on Saturday, we saw a portable wooden 19thC Camera Obscura in "The Vyne" a 16thC house owned by the National Trust in Basingstoke . It was about 75cm high (30 inches in old money). Fascinating.

Whoops! The "Par 5?..." should be towards the upper left corner, just off the right side of the shaft.
