Contest 129: Eggbox's sofa
A couple of weeks ago, Eggbox posted a query: should he spend his money on CS3, a new lens for his camera or recovering his sofa? I thought we should help him out with the last one, so he's only got a choice of two to worry about - and Ted's obligingly sent in a photograph of the sofa in question. Can you give this piece of furniture a makeover? And if you feel like extending your redecorating skills to the rest of the room, feel free. Ted's sofa in high res is here.  |

Go for the Photoshop CS2, I use it at work and love it! That said, for $7.95 you can get a nice beach chair from IKEA. Maiden, you're the best. Mguyer, j.harvatt and James, how did you colorize those images? They're fantastic!  |

I selected each object that I wanted to change, copied it to its own layer, and played with the HUE slider looking for outrageous results. |

Maiden, WOW! That's wonderful, it reminds me of some movie I watched when I was a kid. It was about a plant that ate people. I know, kind of strange...  The only thing I can remember about the movie is the plant screaming "FEED ME SEYMORE!"
Neal, you can find Hue/Saturation by going to Image>Adjustments>Hue/Saturation. Be sure to have the Colorize box checked. Chris |

Gee Whizz! Mrs Eggbox and I would go blind with some of these schemes. Keep them coming.. Marty, your search for outrageousness was truly successful. I wish I too could see Becky's post but her picture and avatar are blanked. I recently upgraded my pc so maybe something wasn't switched on at the time. What might it have been?? Ted |

Eggbox, maybe you could try this link to Contest 90, Make It Move. There could be some sort of setting on your browser preventing you from displaying any GIF? If that's the case, check your browser's security settings. Sometimes if they are set to maximum, you won't be able to view certain files/images on a webpage. There should be a place for you to "Make Exception" to different filetypes. Choose GIF in the exceptions list. That way, Gif images can pass through your firewall. Thanks for the link to Contest 90. All the Gifs worked on that site but not Becky's today. Odd! I couldn't find the 'Make Exceptions' option for Gifs. maybe I'm just not seeing it! Ted |
