Re: Contest 139: Works of art
Ted so sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my favourite Uncle on Sunday. One bad thing about getting older is that now instead of weddings and baby showers, you attend more funerals. I hate it.

Tom, did you use Painter?? I really could do a much better job in painter but won't let myself cheat. I've come to realize how much more intuitive the brushes are than the ones in PS. Now I must get back to my painting!

Re: Contest 139: Works of art
The very first time I saw Photoshop demostrated, probably version 3, I fell in love. One of the things really appealed to me, was the way you could turn a photo into a painting. Something I have hardly ever done.

Pauline,
For the first one I downloaded the demo of
Snap art
and used it.

The second one is done with an interactive PS action from Erick Nguyen.

Re: Contest 139: Works of art
Thanks for the info Tom. I was sure the second one was painter as I've done the same effect with their clone brush and bringing back details.

Hopefully I'll get mine on here today. I'm just trying to decide if I'm satisfied with it.

Imagine what Picasso would have done with Photoshop
