Challenge 298: Make him laugh

Not that Gordon Brown has much to laugh about these days. Much as I hate to impose a politician on you two weeks running, this is (probably) our last chance to mess with the Prime Minister before he disappears into the forgotten pit of has-been politicians (or the House of Lords, as we call it).

The challenge this week is to bring a smile to Gordon's sullen face. It's a tricky technical challenge: there's more to making someone laugh than just pasting a smile on top. How would his jaw change? What happens to the eyes and brow when we laugh? And how would he deal with his poor dentistry?

i haven't tried making a person smile before but i'll do my best and try it out.

I can't think of anything that would make him happy now... but maybe we could take him back to happier times.

This challenge is ridiculusly hard, I mean you can't exactly copy and paste his eye brows because it'll look weird and you need the boney bit to stick out behind his eyebrows.. You can't use the Liquify tool because it'll blur those parts inbetween the brow and the eye..

And as for the mouth, you can't make that horrible set of "I want to eat a child" teeth happy and smiling, I'll have to use someone else's teeth to make that THING smile.

I'll have a go tomorrow, my girlfriend is asleep behind me and I'd rather be sleeping with her than trying to make a miserable old man who verbally abuses old ladies to smile!

Hi Nerdtron, What I did was find other pics of Gordon Brown and cut out various bits and place them over the original.

Nick that is highly convincing!!

Smiling is very overrated thinks Gordon. Tried it once and it was a disaster, wont be rushing to smile again though.

How many Gillian Duffy's does it take to change a lightbulb? - None - they're all too busy changing the outcome of the election!!!

I live in Rochdale, and as you can imagine, "Bigotgate" is the main topic of conversation at the moment. Rochdale was the closest marginal seat in the country due to boundary changes (0.5%) up until this week. Now I'd be surprised if the Labour Candidate bothers turning up for the results on Thursday! (Strangely, no mention of GB's visit to Rochdale on his website... can't imagine why!)

Anyway - Gordon Brown smiling at last, with the help of his colleagues - Nick's mouth and David's eyes...

Looks like Nick and I found/used the same (or very similar) source! Not surprising actually. Finding a photo of this guy smiling is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
