Challenge 310: Succulent Sushi
I'm rather fond of sushi, and as I was sharing a few plates in my favourite sushi restaurant last week I was struck by how bizarre and exotic some of the dishes looked. In this restaurant, the sushi goes round on a conveyor belt and you grab what you want (which is why the dishes at the back are out of focus).

There are three plates in the foreground which I've finished. Can you replenish them with some fresh sushi? Be as outlandish as you like.

(This one's going to be a real challenge for James and Anna. Can you make that conveyor belt move?)

High res is here.

I hope I have time for this (I am working all weekend) it looks good fun.

I love sushi too but I agree it often doesn't look like "proper" food at all

Wish I had taken photos of some of the great sushi meals I have had.

I don't know about cooked, the one on the left looks incinerated. I'd rather have that than the raw stuff.

Gordon, poor Nemo. Came all that way, even to Australia only to end up in a Sushi bar LOL

Anna,
Thanks for that. Poor old Nemo!

Now that I've seen your 'Sushi Conveyor' I can now understand the term 'Fast Food'! Very nicely animated.

Nice one Anna, now I can stop puzzling over it, if there is another way to move that conveyor, it's eluding me.

We are out today, so so time for the challenge this week. Excellent entries all round. Gordon, I particularly like the glass domes - excellent. Anna, superb concept and animation, as always.

Re: Challenge 310: Succulent Sushi
Thank you so much Gordon James and Nick.

James this is the only way I could think of that looked reasonable. The only other way, which I did make a start on, was rebuilding the conveyor belt, but half an hour into it I realised it would take forever to do and the end result would be a mish mash of cloning and patching and totally unconvincing. So gave up on that.

Re: Challenge 310: Succulent Sushi
Anna you are correct about rebuilding the conveyer. I did try, but soon realised it was impractical, and in trying I’ve put it out of order.
