Challenge 333: art appreciation
666 is, as we all know, the number of the beast. Is 333 half a beast?

At London's Saatchi Gallery the other day, I saw this rather striking new exhibit: a merger between a goat and a concrete bowling pin, as if the two had inadvertently appeared in the same space.

There was originally a painting on the wall next to it, which I've removed. Instead, there's now an empty space.

What can you devise that will fill this space? Can you come up with an appropriate companion piece?

High res is here.

Hi all again. I haven't entered since a month ago so happy new year to all.

Here's my entry. I have imagined this piece as part of a collection called "the melting flock". Wouldn´t be funny if a flock of melting goats and sheeps would escape from an exhibition to the real world?

Hope you like it.

Re: Challenge 333: art appreciation
Thanks Anna, Nick. I was thinking that I should have created another standing piece, but the angle of the cat was too perfect, so I made it a painting.

That's great Sophie. (Probably more background/context than I am aware of)
and Anna love the video ,
I'd never thought of those....
All great ideas I enjoy

I'm looking forward to all new entries as well.
My ideas are there .... but, tie then down, to realize could be difficult....

ah... now I understand how the goat came to melt with the pin... this would be what it's called "magic realism"

I love this kind of explanations, like those ones suitables for creative kids, always asking for the meaning of all the things.

Re: Challenge 333: art appreciation
Thank you everyone for your comments.! Some fantastic interpretations. Dejavu..I really like yours and Im glad that I was able to give a plausible explanation as to how the two came about haha. Soph I love the pink haired pin on the left..so cute. Nick yours is very powerful...Ben I started watching that movie and fell asleep..was it any good?

After I posted - my daughter flippantly remarked...why is the goat melding with a perfume bottle. She recognised it immediately. So I get my bottle of J'adore out and sure enough..they are identical. Why put a goat with perfume..I dont know lol

Oh my god... Could it be possible that the artist is trying to send us a message?: J'adore smells like goats... In that case, I'm afraid that he/she had a bad experience with that perfume because I've smelled it and it's very nice

I'd like to make some comments about your images, I always find inspiration and remarkable technics on everyone, but I'm afraid that my English is not good enough to not make a serious error and as the old saying goes:"better to remain silent and appear stupid than to speak and remove all doubt"

I like your entries too. And Tooquilos, I love your animation works
