Challenge 334: Phone box filling
A couple of decades ago, a popular urban sport used to be to see how many people could cram into a standard telephone box (or booth, as you might call it). Well, these boxes may be fast disappearing as we now carry our phones around with us, but a few of Gilbert Scott's originals remain dotted around London. How many people can you fit in here? You can open the door, if you wish. High res is here. ![]() Note: I'll be in Denver, Colorado, all week as a guest of Quark. My plane flies back into the UK at 11am on Friday, so the write-up (and the new Friday Challenge) will be posted rather later than usual! |

Not as full, but at least they closed the doors. ![]() _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |

Wow! Some fantastic masking/cutting out so far. I struggled but this is my (more gentile) effort! ![]() _________________ Man cannot change the direction of the wind but he can adjust the sails |

Great to see the activity ![]() In the meantime, I could not forget this photo of a set of six classic boxes in the centre of Durham NE England taken 2006 July. Very nice and interesting historical city if you have chance to visit, especially when the weather is like this (only a link as off FC topic I guess): http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr283/Jota120/IMG_4598-DurhamTelephoneBoxes-2.jpg |

My try for this week. A hell of a job, but great fun! Used Topaz adjust to get the scene a bit grungy. A lot of convincing work is posted already. Like it a lot! ![]() |

Very nice entry Trevor … although it makes me a little bit homesick. ![]() By the way it would be a very good Poser training to try to make this monument in poser! ![]()

Re: Challenge 334: Phone box filling
Daneil, Amazing sculpture work and the other sculptures there too, especially when consider made from granite, one of the most difficult stones to carve, even when use tools and assistance. Not many artist can do sculpture now. On our very small part, my dad was great in my opinion on sculpture. Many people have great new teeth and crowns etc thanks to him. It would be a great challenge for Poser!, but don't look at me, ..... your call! ![]() Trevor |
