Challenge 458: Degree show
For the past few weeks I've been teaching Photoshop once a week to students at the London College of Communication (formerly the London College of Printing, and now part of the University of the Arts London). As it's nearing the end of the year the various faculty degree shows have been going up in the gallery spaces around the building, and I've seen some truly spectacular work.

Last week, I walked through the college between shows: the last one had come down, and the new one had yet to be installed. I did, however, get this shot of one of the galleries from the walkway above, with sunlight streaming into the room.

Can you show me how this room might look when it's full of students' work? Those with an aversion to perspective might like to start with the Vanishing Point filter.

High res is here.

OMG, GKB,

How did you do that so fast?
GREAT work!

It’s been so long since I have visited Photoshop’s Vanishing filter.

What I see in this challenge is Old school - Back to Basics:
3pt perspective, Bird’s eye view. (I have an art background and I still have my drafting table).

Are you perhaps a pilot?

Kathryn

Been awhile since I used Vanishing Pt Filter so had to brush up on it -- I used my own photography and PS work for the display - also used the Adaptive Wide Angle on the room -- good challenge Steve.

Re: Challenge 458: Degree show
hello, I saw your picture and mine, I do not have the same perspective.
I used the vanishing point. I put a screenshot of my filter.
Your filter setting is the same?
Thanks

Garfield72,
The back of the appliance on the wall is the second vertical cue. I used the yellow rectangle as the first plane and then expanded from there.

b'e well.

Bruce - I really like the girl in your entry; the birds-eye-view is spot on, and she is size-appropriate to the sitting guy. That's my opinion, anyway (which, by the way, is NEVER humble ).

Thank you. I gave up trying to find an appropriate high-angle shot of an onlooker on the internet, and plucked her from one of my random crowd shots.

Hi Kathryn,
Sorry but I have been busy over the last couple of days and have only just seen your post. Thanks for the comment.
I thought it was about time I had an exhibition of my air to air photography over the last 35 years or so and Steve provided me with the venue

Well, thought I'd have a go at my favourite thing - perspective.
