Challenge 489: The road to nowhere

During my stay in Tokyo I took a monorail trip out to the Museum of Future Science (of which more another time). It stands on a newly-built island, which is still in the process of development.

Here, for example, is a road by the side of the monorail track. Although it's complete with a road surface and even markings, it doesn't go anywhere, and there are as yet no buildings around it.

Can you imagine how this might look in a few years? Oh, and of course you'll need to get rid of the reflections, as I photographed it through the train window...
