Challenge 538: Tempting Teguise
While on my trip to Lanzarote last year I visited a splendid pirate museum way up in the hills. As well as excellent views over the island, the museum also featured a model of the main square in the nearby town of Teguise.

Detailed though the model is, it lacks human interest. Can you show Teguise in a more appealing light? What would it take to make the town look real?

High res is here.

Hmmmm. The high angle view could make finding stuff to fit in quite challenging. It's not a common viewpoint.

Interesting ............

Yes, I thought you'd all had it too easy last week.

Right, I had a quick go at this one while sat in Starbucks this afternoon!

So sorry, Teguise used to be a quiet remote place but then industrialization began...

Well Wörn has got there first with a similar thought. Not quite sure whose vision is the more depressing ........

Well, while yours is a look into the future mine is from the past. My background picture was taken by me last October in an abandoned industrial area in Germany (Landschaftspark Duisburg) now open for the public. Really worth a visit for those who prefer strolling along rusty stone age industries and climbing on old furnaces or diving in muddy water tanks over a cruize along the Rhine.
So my view leaves space for a development into a better future (at least a tiny bit). Whereas your image is simply frustrating with no hope left for the next decades. Locals really should have a talk with this Mr P.I.Rate before its too late!

Best regards, Wörn

Hmmm ... maybe I should get the architects to look at the factory .... ripe for a theme park maybe!

When I spoke of a similar idea I was simply thinking of the unstoppability of "progress" ........

Unfortunately, I've got too much on my plate right now to give this the attention it really needs.
