Challenge 679: The pharmacy
The pharmacy at the Franciscan monastery in Dubrovnik was founded in 1317, and provided medicines for the whole town. But it's clearly been regularly maintained ever since, and to my eye looks just too bright and clean.

Can you restore it to its former state? Or, if you prefer, modernise it to make it more suitable for contemporary Dubrovnik?

High res is here.

And you can get a picture of the monk who started it here.

Totally cheating, I modernized it in the simplest way I could think of.

I am particularly intrigued to know how did the cobwebs. They are just perfect!

Some beautiful and painstaking work here - mine is less so - one of the advertising pitches for the Leave campaign that ended up in the bin.

I'm very impressed with what people have done: well done!

Anna, the way you got those facial expressions at the end of your video is priceless, and very clever.

Josephine what a funny and clever little poster

I'm afraid I did not like this type of challenge (as reflected in the Gif file), so not one of my best then

One has to be very careful using Puppet Warp, or this can happen:

Thank you Michael, David and Michael!! With the cobwebs, I didn’t need to look far for inspiration..every nook and cranny around the outside (and parts of the inside) of my house seem to have them. As for adding them to the image..it was quite simple. Found images on Google, positioned them, use screen blending mode, bit of image warp to fit and curve them and there it you have it!

tooquilos - I also admired the cobwebs and appreciate your "how to" explanation.

I planned to end my banner barrage for a while, but had to give the spider web a try.

Michael, I love the way in which you have applied thought and detail to your entry. Also the great idea that there could be space behind the shelving.

I should have given myself a bit more time with this.
Ben, that works very well.

Re: Challenge 679: The pharmacy
Thank you Michael. I found this challenge one of the most demanding I have ever done. Simply extracting all those jars and things took quite a while, but it was worth it.
