Challenge 780: Hallowafter
I didn't pass this coffee shop until last weekend, too late to post it in time for Halloween - but here it is anyway, for a belated celebration of spooks and ghouls. Can you make it live up to its name? And, while you're at it, correct the spelling? Important note: I'll be waking up in Paris next Friday morning, sans laptop. So, uniquely, I'd like you to treat this as a Thursday Challenge as I shall be writing it up a day early. Note that this is the first time this has happened in 14 years. I'll try not to make a habit of it. High res is here. |

Coo, this week's banner is a bit of a blast from the past. That was my doggy, Charley, riding the train and he passed away over 10 years ago. _________________ If at first you don't succeed then skydiving is not for you. |

It's spelled the same way on the little sign too, so it would obviously seem intentional. I've been going through word games and pronunciations in my head and I can't see any reason for this except some might think it 'cute'. By the way the horrible Katie Hopkins said: "Re articulating my pledge to the nation. We are out on 31 Oct. If I am proved wrong I will drink a pot of tea naked in the Apprentice losers cafe with Farages face on each nipple". What a winning Halloween combination! I am tempted to use this entry to fulfil her promise ....... but I don't think I, or probably, any of you, have the stomach for it .......... _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Forgot say I shall be leaving for Vienna on Monday for a week. Staying with 95 year old mother in law whose ancient house has no internet so I shan't even be taking a laptop. So unless I find time first this will be a quiet week from me. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Love the mirrored Farages for left and right breasts. Very subtle. I'll leave Steve to comment on the lighting directions ......... I have to confess mine would have been a lot less flattering. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Room for improvement here. It's a rush job. But at least I don't feel left out. _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Re: Challenge 780: Hallowafter
the first one was indeed a rush job and didn’t really convince me. This is what it looks like at night - slight improvement… |

Frank, that is an excellent piece of work. You must be very pleased with that. _________________ |
