Challenge 808: Pram to the future
I'm indebted to DavidMac for this week's Challenge, which features a futuristic pram (do they call those things prams in the US? Or perambulator or pushchair or buggy?) dating from, I'd guess, the early 1950s.

The pram itself may be a glimpse of things to come, but that woman's clothing is stuck firmly in its period setting. Can you give her an outfit, and perhaps a location, that's more appropriate to the vision of future technology?

High res is here.

Shouldn't the car be an E-Type or Marcos?

(Getting my own back for sports chutes now.)

Gordon and David, some great entries and so quick too, you have set the bar high.

Had some idle time yesterday. Still voluntarily isolating even though things are relaxing in Belgium. It was much harder than I expected. I have a couple of half completed rejects too.

Thanks Vibeke.
David you are awful ... but I like you.

For those of you who remember The Jetsons, Rosie the Robot walks the dog and pram.

Doing the Batman image was quite hard work.

This, on the other hand, whilst far less technically accomplished, was much more fun!!

Re: Challenge 808: Pram to the future
Too much time on my hands this weekend. So over indulging in silliness. But I promise to stop now.

After supplying the photo to Steve I found it was much harder than I thought. Although Batman and Flash Gordon had occurred to me stylistically at the time, I struggled and was rather stumped how to include them. Then I started to research early sci fi movies and suddenly it was all there for the asking!

A great British classic. Alexander Korda's production of H. G. Wells' "Things to Come". 1936.

I had so many ideas with this one but restrained myself to three. The other 2 are in the video.

Some very witty entries so far. That's very funny Chris! Vibeke, I love the pink and blue!

Welcome to the forum Jim! Great entries

Re: Challenge 808: Pram to the future
Vibeke. That is absolutely spot on. With the exception of Gordon, all of us so far have placed things in fantastical sci-fi'ish contexts. You have made it completely plausible and believable. You could easily see this in a major Chinese city. It made me think immediately of the Hong Kong socialite Brenda Chau who had everything in pink.
