Challenge 905: Farming equipment
Just outside the blacksmiths shop we visited a few weeks ago, I spotted this huge rusting piece of farming equipment.

I have absolutely no idea what purpose it might have served. Can you suggest something?

High res is here.

Re: Challenge 905: Farming equipment
This reminded me of Pick Floyd’s brick-in-the-wall public school kid mincing machine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrxX9TBj2zY
It looks like actual farm equipment is the remains of boiler tubes from some kind of steam engine (steampunk opportunity wasted, maybe later in the week)

Re: Challenge 905: Farming equipment
It looks very sculptural so I thought it deserved a gallery space to sit in.

For those who dont follow UK politics the tractor is a reference to MP caught watching porn in the House of Commons who claimed that he had got on the website by mistake when he was looking for tractors,
As you do.

Loyd The second entry is excellent until the "cartoon" spaceships appear. Anticipating a good entry from you later on...

Josephine very nice with Mariner overtones.

Meanwhile, at the Mariupol steel works Ukraine...

Re: Challenge 905: Farming equipment
Thank you for the explanation, Frank. Two things sprung to mind when I saw this. First was a giant pasta maker and a cow. Pasta making was a flop so cow it was.

Michael Sinclair, I had difficulty finding the machine..it was so perfectly placed.

Thank you Michael and Mariner - like the sneaky Soylent Green reference lwc - I missed that first time round.
Anna good to see you back - but who is the cheery chappie?

Re: Challenge 905: Farming equipment
To start with - a hard topic this week:
Ant - Now that's pushing them thru the education system - clever solution to a hard topic
- Loyd - not familiar with Soylent Green mentioned above - to me looks like earth junk has become space junk
- Josephine , agree, good idea, actually looks pretty good in your setting
Michael - well hidden and placed, nice presentation
- Anna - Love the Cow - a perfect fit
Back to my drawing board?

The "water extractor" is great Frank, nicely done!
