Challenge 914: The Victorian Schoolroom
I photographed this Victorian schoolroom in Stowmarket Museum a few months ago. It's a good assembly of furniture and props, but the building is clearly a 1940s prefab.

Can you move these contents to a more appropriate location? And maybe populate the scene?

High res is here.

Re: Challenge 914: The Victorian Schoolroom
Bit of a rush job.

This is another one that is much harder that it appears on the surface because trying to find or create enough Victorian child back views to populate this is something I am not about to attempt. ...... to say nothing of having to move the chairs back from the tables to accommodate them!!

I am not sure they would have been wearing caps indoors but still ...

You've done a great job recreating the room, David. Likewise Josephine; it's difficult to tell where the original and new image end and begin.

It's a great day for staying home and completing the challenge here in Sydney town. Yesterday we had around 100mm of rain and they are expecting the same today and tomorrow! I suspect more flooding is on the way

That is beautifully done. I spent ages trying to find a usable back view and gave up!

Lovely Anna. It's very rare for me to make suggestions for your work but, to my personal eye, the books on the shiny topped desks are crying out for contact shadows.

Some beautiful work already, this one really appeals to me, but it is unlikely I'll get anything done. I have one of my granddaughters and my husband sick with Covid, the way I feel I'm sure I have it too despite not yet testing positive.

Look after yourself Vibeke. Looking forward to seeing you back again soon.

Very sorry to hear you are poorly Vibeke, all good wishes for speedy recoveries - and hope Anna is keeping her feet dry!
Yes David - I was lucky to find a back view photo even if the classroom now appears to be on a steep gradient - perhaps they have subsidence - lets say that shall we?

Thanks for all your well wishes. I'm sure we will all soon be back to normal, I feel we have caught one of the milder versions.

Thanks, David. On my computer, shadows didn't seem necessary. However, when I view the image on my phone, the lack of them stands out like a sore thumb!

I think all entries thus far are very well done - good work all.
Get well Vibeke and family - hope it's the milder version - damn Covid doesn't want to go away.

Great stuff all.

I have to stop this image. Still so much I could put in but where do you draw the line.
