Challenge 929: Opening hell's gate
A friend of mine was surprised when a travelling fair set up in the street outside his house, and he went to investigate. He sent me this picture of the Haunted House.

Seeing as it's Halloween, can you open up this attraction?

High res is here.

Another banner that I had forgotten all about. That was a while ago.

Thanks Michael, lacking real Photoshop skills and having little patience to spend the time as you do on one image requires that I go for 'quick' and sometimes 'quantity'...lol. I must add that this one was a lot of fun to make.

Re: Challenge 929: Opening hell's gate
This one took about five times as long as the first entry, but it was fun to make. Lot's going on, I went crazy for a bit trying to keep track of layers and various animations, not to mention timing and speed of each one. Thanks to Photoshop.London for many of the cutouts.

A non-animated full size frame for fun... should be able to click on it to view full size.

I think you mean four Michael

I was unable to do anything with the starting image I'm afraid, but thought I should make an effort on the theme of Halloween.

Bate's Hall

Nice clips Lloyd. I love the second one. It reminnds me of the designs on a pin ball machine.

Lovely images Ant and Mariner. Well of topic again Michael...interesting clip though.

Now where is Steve, his friend and camera. I really got myself into trouble here with their image this week I should have stayed sim racing.

I wondered what the brief photo would look like in real life. What happened there to build a replica of it.,, and I tried to stay true to the distorted perspective in the photo. No joke. Never thought i'd pull it off but over 200 layers later...I'm going back to sim racing. This image smashed me up more than a virtual track does

Re: Challenge 929: Opening hell's gate
First to visit the Hell this week was lwc, quick off the mark with a head-on animation. I like all the flickering flames, and the projections on the screens at the bottom are a neat way to avoid having to remove them. But there they are gone in the second entry, filled with ghostly scenes. and it’s good to see the detail in the enlargement. Glad the cutouts are working well for you!

A Halloween parade from Ant Snell neatly covers up those low screens, with just enough detail added to make it appear there’s some content there. A good cheat! Amused by the blue pumpkin.

A truly astonishing reconstruction from Mariner, with the attraction rebuilt in stone - while retaining some of the graphics. But it’s Harry Potter’s head on a stick that really gets me, especially being held by his supposed friend Dobby. I always knew you should never trust a house elf. Amazing, Michael. What a startling image.

There’s off topic and there’s off topic, and I think this week michael sinclair has gone to extremes. I like the forest with its gliding tree monster, but why do the other trees come and go?

I’ve been gazing in awe at dwindt's fabulous reconstruction, with its immaculate brickwork and textures - each of those arches must have taken a while to construct. So much detail here! I really like the way the new Psycho-themed sign is hung from gibbets, with the crows above. Glorious work, Dennis.
