Challenge 930: The Flying Scotsman
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the construction of the steam train the Flying Scotsman (I'll leave GKB, our own Flying Scotsman, to fill in any necessary details). To celebrate the occasion it was chugged down to King's Cross station a couple of weeks ago, and I happened to be passing through the station at the time.

I'd come through on the underground and didn't have a ticket for a train so couldn't get access to the platform. This is the best shot I could take.

Can you give me a better view of this iconic example of railway history?

High res is here.

No sooner said than done!!

Seriously Steve this is the stuff of nightmares. Not really my kind of challenge at all. I'm neck deep in website building at the moment so I am going to sit this one out. I'll be checking in though to see what others, especially Mariner, do with this little kettle of poisson.

I am working on the reconstruction of the LH wall - "the stuff of nightmares".

This entry was an extremely difficult one to accomplish. It may not be perfect, but I'm the first member to get a fully functioning steam locomotive animated,,,phew!

4 frames for the piston rods, and two frames for everything else.

Good work Frank. It's hard to get that engine to fit properly, isn't it. You have juggled the people around very nicely. You have also redesigned the fence, as I have.

Re: Challenge 930: The Flying Scotsman
Thanks Michael - yes this one is a bit tricky and at first I just removed the people but later thought I'd just shuffle them out of the way a bit.
I stepped into Mariner territory and built the fence
using internet images as a guide in order to maintain realism of the platform layout.

[/quoted] Nicely done Frank, I struggled with that image & moved further down the platform.

Thank you Michael. You put in a very good entry yourself this week. It would look even better if you could get those clouds to move (smoothly) across the sky.
