Challenge 938: Poolside Cafe
I was passing through Stansted Airport recently, dodging the olfactory assault of the perfume ambush, and spotted this newly-opened cafe.

The eagle-eyed among you will notice that this Pool Side Cafe, as it's called, is notably devoid of a pool. Can you remedy this shortcoming?

High res is here.

I think that may be because the café frontage is curved but the windows above are not.

I think you are right, but the horizontal line on the pavement is bent too, so there may be some lens distortion.

Re: Challenge 938: Poolside Cafe
Well the junction of café and tiling is curved because the café frontage is curved. The joins between the tiles themselves seem perfectly straight - as one would expect.

Nice one Loyd - I was thinking along the same lines - otherwise I find it's a difficult image to work with.

Wanted to animate this but my chosen method refused to work properly so it's a still image for the moment.

Yes, I get it now: the shops are lining the sides of a large circular hall.

Thanks Frank, I was at a loss for what to do with it when this mermaid idea popped into my head...

Frank, I love your concept: now that's thinking out of the box!

Gordon might like this one.
