Challenge 970: The bear gallery
There's an exhibition about bears running at the Natural History museum in La Rochelle, and it's reasonably entertaining with lots of information and a few stuffed animals behind glass.

When I saw this futuristic console, though, I was expecting some sort of holographic ursine to spring into life at the push of a button. Sadly there was no such advanced technology, which could explain the lack of visitors crowded around it.

Can you conjure up a suitably high tech exhibit to mount on this table?

High res is here.

Steve, your holiday in La belle France must have been a complete washout. Did it rain every day?

You want sun-drenched beaches?

Just sun-drenched will do. One beach looks much like another.

A quickie - hope to get time to animate a version. Note: - the bear image was generated in Adobe Firefly.

Seems Frank and I are on a similar path. But no Firefly here.

I think the reason Steve found a room devoid of visitors or technological wonders may simply be one of bad timing. He seems to have entirely missed "Robot Showtime" with the incomparable Fred Asbaire.

Thanks to Photoshop London for the very useful back views.

Well, my old computer finally failed... had to get a new one with Windows 11. None of my old gif animation software will run on it. So animations are going to be very limited for the future... the more complicated animations are 'no more'. Oh well, time marches on...

That’s tough! We rely so much on the software we know instinctively. I’m sure there are some great alternatives for W11 but they have to be found and tried. Not easy ……..

Loyd, sorry about your problems, and do we really need Windows 11?

Very witty David, and by the way there is an active discussion on Generative fill on the readers Gallery which you might like to see

David - I've been expecting this to happen for some time now and have researched and tried several replacements... none have been even close. Sometimes twenty+ year old software is the best.

Michael - I certainly didn't need Windows 11. It seems that it is now mostly designed to work with smartphones and such, which I could care less about.

Very nice Gordon.

My first reaction with the wireframe was that the foreground right shadow didn't make sense. But then, when he solidifies, I realised it does!

Thank you David. Yes the 3D lights were positioned to emulate the lights in the original image.

Had it been cold, wet and windy all this week I would have spent much more time animating this one but, in the oven that is my office, I left it at this.🔥🔥🥵

I seem to remember seeing a photo once. An attic conversion directly under the roof if I remember correctly. I had an office like that once. They can get HOT!!
