Challenge 977: The vacant chair
I had a minor surgical procedure recently in a hospital that used to be part of a former convent. The hospital moved site in the 1970s, taking the original (and very ornate) convent chapel with it.

One of the interesting chapel objects was this empty chair on a pedestal. Who could have sat here? Where are they now? And how on earth are you going to cope with the extreme perspective?

High res is here.

I'm sorry Josephine, I didn't see your skeleton until now. Very appropriate saying though.

This one was difficult, so I ended up making my own plinth. Not entirely sure the perspective is correct but hopefully there's enough distractions in the image to overlook it.

No AI on my part and most of the images are downloaded from Rawpixel.

My immediate thoughts were of a rather confusing combination of Chernobyl and Halloween…

A non-animated version if you prefer...

I’ll not be joining you this week. Taking my youngest and his partner to Athens for a joint fortieth birthday. Pity …….. this one looks fun.

Re: Challenge 977: The vacant chair
for those of you unfamiliar with The Antiques Roadshow, it is a long-running BBC series where the public can bring along what might be valuable antiques for an expert evaluation. The show is currently hosted by Fiona Bruce with a team of antiques experts.

No time to completely correct the perspective

House Republicans in Washington finally agree on their ideal candidate for Speaker of the House to push forward their policies.

Apologies to those not following what passes for politics in the USA
