Challenge 1044: The bus turnaround
I noticed this curious cul-de-sac from the Docklands Light Railway, which seems to exist only to give buses a space to turn around. That lozenge-shaped paved area in the middle, with its spindly trees, seems a very poor waste of space in this otherwise prime area of London. Surely you can think of a better use of the land? Transport for London had been planning this new terminus building for at least the last few hours

Thanks Frank, I didn’t have a drone and had to think of a way to get that shot…lol. Your version is very nice, I really like the landscaping, especially the trees.  |

Well lots of buildings. Plenty of nice hybrid work with 3D. some really nice stuff from everyone! I've gone back to mine after planning to abandon it. I found myself stuck for ideas beyond basically what we are all doing. Mine is also a 3D hybrid but only to produce the raw geometry of the building. The basic shape is a basic unrendered solid. All the 'rendering' is done by hand completely in Photoshop. When I find myself not very moved by the basic task I try to set myself a personal challenge. In this case I challenged myself to produce a plausible vaulted glass skylight using just Photoshop. Long way to go. No cigars ......... but I think it's definitely getting somewhere close'ish.  _________________ The subtlety and conviction of any Photoshop effect is invariably inversely proportional to the number of knobs on it ....... |

Michael thank you. I found this one quite difficult.
The more I look at the animation the more it seems to be ambiguous. One moment I see it as one direction and in the next it seems to reverse. So, Gordon, it's entirely possible that, in some circumstance's, it's on the correct side of the road but driving very fast in reverse.
