Challenge 1105: Rubbery crocs
One of the more intriguing artefacts I saw in Agadir was this full-size crocodile, seen here mounted on a wall. At first I was puzzled by the texture, until on closed inspection I realised it had been constructed from recycled car and bike tyres (tires, to Loyd and Frank).

I tried 3D Rotate on this one, but not surprisingly nothing in Adobe's reference libraries was able to create a convincing model from this object. So can you either find a suitable habitat for it, or suggest other uses for discarded tyres?

High res is here.

Not sure rotate is needed anyway. It works perfectly as it is as seen from above. (As Michael has already shown us).

Never mind, David, go ahead and publish it anyway, that's fine by me.

This Silly Season stuff is easy to think up, not easy to like.

Lots of fun entries already with this rubber tyre croc... I've had four false starts, but now getting close. I've really struggled making anything worth finishing.

Re: Challenge 1105: Rubbery crocs
Tommy didn’t just face the crocodile — he challenged it. The swamp erupted as the creature burst from the water, tail whipping like a hurricane. Tommy leapt onto its back, riding the thrashing monster through mud and spray. At the last heartbeat, he clamped its snout shut, and wrestled it down in a spray of mud and fury. With a final roar, he lashed its jaws shut and stood victorious.

DISCLAIMER – No AI was used for the image, but Microsoft AI Copilot provided the storyline.

Not sure what she's doing there Dennis ..... but she's beautifully done.

Shades of 'Louisiana Story' Loyd. (If you're into classical cinema).

More silly season Michael!

Rest of post removed for edit. Back soon ...........

Silly season from me too ..............

Having been pipped to the post for my original diving crocodile I've had to find another (much harder) way to get him airborne.

Re: Challenge 1105: Rubbery crocs
David – I watched that film several years ago on a classic movie channel. For some reason your comment immediately made me think of the following silly bit… why? I have no idea.

After a whistleblower let it be known that Gatorade isn’t really made from alligators, vandals dumped a load of crocodiles and did a little spray painting… management is not happy.

Silliness or madness? You be the judge.
