Perhaps not, if a person has never used the full version to begin with. I was fortunate enough to have started off with the full program, but was later forced to use Elements for a course I was doing, and I found it awful. You've been working with it for a long time, and I'm sure you know looooads of ways around the missing tools and extra bits. Me, I felt like a centipede trying to cope with only five legs.

Yes, it can be a little frustrating without some of the features such as the Pen Tool but there are always ways to overcome the shortcomings. That's one of the reasons we wrote HTCIE: you get 90% of Photoshop for 10% of the price, which is a pretty good deal!

Indeed it is a good deal. Have you ever considered a career in Sales, David? Something tells me you'd do very well.

Lock yourselves away from your families, folks - CS4 has commenced shipping, according to the Adobe site.

Time to start emptying out the old piggy bank again!

I have received mine and I must say I really enjoy the smoothness of the new bridge it seems to have been redesigned from the floor up and the smooth zooming and vibrance adjustment layer is awesome! sadly they removed the extract filter though not sure why...
