Yes, this is astounding stuff. Vicho, this is still a technology in development - it's not generally available yet. But if it were incorporated into CS4 I certainly wouldn't complain!

I saw the article on this a while back. Apparently the developers of the technology were snapped up by Adobe quicker than you can say weight shifted seam removal.

The removal of people is incredible.

CS5 perhaps?

You can download a free program that uses the same "Seam Carving" technique from here.

Resizor

Hi Becky
That's brilliant. I needed to change the shape of this photo. It was so easy.

Actually, I can't get it to work either. got into the website, and found I needed to use the Retarget, Resample is just what we do in Photoshop.
It took a long time and here is the result.

vibeke i think this little app may need a bit of tuning, or perhaps the user needs a little tuition

vibeke

i have no idea either on how to use this, i did download it though but havnt had chance to play around.
The results do look a bit odd though dont they

The actual youtube video on seam splitting looks incredible, especially how you can just marquee a person out of an image and it closes around it without trace.

amazing !
