sand in the vaseline
this has got nothing to do with digital imagery but a lot with skill and imagination.

Re: sand in the vaseline
This is done in a sandbox using volcanic sand.

The artist was emotionally shaken in childhood by the history of the nearby place where Nazis shot 12 thousand residents. She carried it through and used emotions for this particular presentation.
While impressive as just a form of an art (there just few people in the world who mastered this technique), her presentation shakes one's little world.
The audience crying for real. I can't watch it twice in the row - too much of a strong emotions. It is amazing how much emotions her presentation can evoke, provided one is fluent in Russian, knows history and was brought up listening to the songs used.
There are interesting comments after the show for those who are fluent in Ukranian. She had problems with one presentation because her fingers were not warm enough.
Amazing talent and a wonderful soul - her presentations awaken the best in her audience, and that's what is the most amazing part of her talent.

Thanks for the explanation Tat.

I thought it was pretty fantastic and she obviously has an exceptional talent. I only wish I could understand the Russian connection, but now you have explained, will re-visit.

Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah

Thanks Nick and Tooquilos,

Just wanted to clarify that it was the redsnapper who kindly shared the link - I provided some feedback as I figured nobody here speaks Russian or Ukranian.

Happy holidays everyone!

Thanks Trevor,

All the best to you too!

P.S. Wow, it is spooky - we share the same field - IT consulting... arts, music, ....motorbiking even (although I don't ride anymore).
