Mixing black and white with colour
Hi I would like some advise on how i can mix black and white and colour I have seen photographs where the people have been converted to black and white yet the flowers they are holding are in colour. I am very inexperienced at pshopso would appreciate simple instructions - don't worry you will nor insult my intelligence I always shoot in raw colour thank you Stuart |

Stuart, This is very straightforward. Set your default colours to black and white, and choose a Gradient Map from the Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette. This will come with a Layer Mask attached: paint in black on the mask to hide the effect (and paint in white to reveal it again). |
