Particle effect using Flour
http://vimeo.com/28732551 This is for video but the same can be applied for photography - nice effect maybe to add some natural looking particle effects to your compositing. |

Re: Particle effect using Flour
I think it's a case of getting a nice Depth of Field effect rather than focusing so probably best to use a fixed Manual Focus so that the autofocus does try seeking for a focus target. Probably better if your DSLR has Live View so that you can see as you focus for best effect but really you want out of focus particles to get that Bokeh effect so probably use a Prime Lens like a 50mm I'd have thought it's worth experimenting with and especially if your DSLR has a HD video function. BTW Steve not sure if Anna has passed on the sad news but I lost my Husband James on the 16th of August thought you would like to know. Hurting quite a bit now but time will heal. Love, Becky |

Dear Becky, I'm so sorry to hear that. My thoughts are with you. Yes, time does heal, but that isn't much help at the moment. Take care and remember the good times. Love Vibeke _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |
