Actions for iPad
http://getactionsapp.com/

Just been trying this app on the ipad. Basically lets Windows or Mac users create shortcuts to open pretty much any program or file over wifi with a nice user friendly touch interface with big custom buttons.
You can even sync the ipad to control specific actions in photoshop for example.

I'm sure there are many useful applications for this, so worth a look.

Yes, I've just reviewed this for MacUser magazine. My conclusion: really, it's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Would you really want to have your iPad switched on next to your computer just so you can trigger Photoshop events on it?

Well personally I wouldn't use it for Photoshop, I thought it might be useful in other ways, maybe controlling/opening files if, say, your computer was linked to a TV, (without Apple TV).

I've played around with a few other remote apps such as Splashtop Remote, it basically lets you mirror and control your computer on the ipad; but it's not ideal over a slow wifi connection.

Good to know there are people making these pointless gadgets for us though!

And Happy Birthday Steve!
