Paolo Ventura
I really like this artist's work, combining miniature sculptures and photography to create the scenes. http://www.paoloventura.com/work/behind-the-walls.html Here's a video of the artist. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/17/paolo-venturas-vivid-phot_n_1284696.html#s705219 ![]() _________________ "Predictions are difficult. Re: Paolo Ventura
The whole scene I think, or at least the buildings. I like the composition, how the scene is put together. I've always liked realistic miniature models, it bridges the gap between Real life and CGI. I'm fascinated by the minute details in a scene Maybe this link is better. http://theliteratelens.com/2013/02/01/flights-of-fantasy-an-interview-with-paolo-ventura/ "Paolo Ventura’s work lies at the intersection of fantasy and nostalgia. The Italian-born photographer creates scenes that evoke the past in a way that’s rich, dream-like and occasionally surreal. Ventura does this by painstakingly creating miniature sets—dioramas into which he places realistic dolls and props—then photographing them. The result is a delicious hybrid that veers between reality’s sharpness and the strange logic of dreams". _________________ "If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure" |
