My Blog is disappearing
If any of you were following my blog, GoDaddy decided to do away with their internal blog service and as of midnight my time, my blog will vanish. However, it will eventually be resurrected through WordPress.

I only just found out about this by accident today. I was working on my next post which had a reference to a previous post, "Pixel Perfectionist - Part 1" when I discovered Pixel Perfectionist - Part 1 had disappeared. When I called GoDaddy's help line I was informed that the rest of the blog was scheduled to disappear as well. GoDaddy did some kind of contract with WordPress so all of us who did have blogs could switch, and I did set up an account. However, it seems I'm in a queue waiting for my account to activate.

On the plus side I get to learn a new skill - WordPress.

Wordpress is very good, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Looking forward to seeing the new blog!

Re: My Blog is disappearing
I got the blog started again on WordPress. I still have most of the posts to recreate, and need to figure out how to customize it more. Here is the new address: http://new.sarasdesigns.com/ Keep checking back because it looks like I'm going to be busy for the next two days uploading re-created posts just when I thought I could finally make some progress cleaning my apartment. I spent two days on getting it in order and now entropy and chaos are gaining ground again.

That's looking great, Sara. You need to watch out for hard line returns that are no longer at the end of lines - as in the section titled New Challenges Lead to a New Title, where there are returns in the middle of lines.

You know you can change the banner image at the top for one you create yourself, though?

Thank you for taking the time out of what must be an exceptionally busy life to take a peek at my blog.

Sorry about the hard returns. I had to copy my original blog and then paste it as text into Notepad. There's all kinds of HTML I have to get rid of and I must have missed correcting some of the hard returns when I deleted the HTML.

The first thing I did was create my own banner. However, I created it the wrong size so it's getting cropped in an unfortunate place. Once I have all of my original posts up and looking good, I'll go back and re-work my banner.

I also want to change some of the CSS, but I don't know if the template will allow me to do that or not.

Re: My Blog is disappearing
I am pleased to announce my blog, http://new.sarasdesigns.com, is back up. After laboriously erasing the HTML for all but the last 4 posts, I discovered that if I clicked on the "Text" tab in WordPress, I could just cut and paste the sections of text file I had saved from my original blog. Everything posted including the images - that is as long as I uploaded them first to WordPress. I feel like such an idiot for not discovering this sooner. I was able to upload 4 posts in the time it took me to do one before. Tomorrow, I'm going to see what I can do to spiff up the template. As for now, I've got to go meet up with a friend and sing for my supper - literally. And, I do mean literally and not figuratively.
