creating reflections on glass
I'm relatively new to Photoshop so I might have no business posting in this forum - but: I've just put a reflection on a window in chapter 9 and I found it difficult to paint a diagonal shaft of light in a straight line. So I made a diagonal band on a new layer with the pen tool, made it into a selection and filled it with the "refelected gradient" on the gradient tool. Looks very convincing, and was a lot easier to manipulate than a wobbly brush. Apologies if this is kindergarten stuff - but it's a great discovery to me! |

chris, the easy way to paint a straight line with a brush is to click once where you want the line to start and Shift-click where you want the line to finish. This will paint a line between the two points. rufus |
