I use Cinema 4D and find it fairly easy to use. I have tried a couple of other apps but I reckon that this one combines ease of use with high quality. Check the website at Maxon. It is modular so you can buy whichever add-ons you need so that you don't have to pay for features you won't use.

Whichever application you finally get be prepared for a very steep learning curve.

You could possible download Blender for free http://www.blender.org/

It's a pretty powerful package and there are lots of tutorials online.
