Remove Acne and skin blemishes
Right this is my first tutorial so stay with me if there is anything you don't understand just ask and I will try my best to explain it, when I get chance. Right so take my hand and we will jump right in 1. first open the image that you wish to work on 
2. using the spot healing brush tool (J) remove some of the larger blemishes or spots. I recomend keeping your brush size small and change it for each spot adjusting it so it is just slightly larger. 3. Next pres control/command J to duplicate the layer 4. open the gaussian blur box (filter/blur/gaussian blur) 
The trick here is to blur it enough to knock out the blemishes but not enough to breakup the outline. for my image I've used a blur of 26.1 pix. 5.Next open the levels box (ctrol/command L) 
just move the black and white sliders towards the middle a small amount just to slightly pull in the edges of the image. Use your own judgment on what looks right. You will know when you have go to far. 6. Change the blending mode of this layer to overlay and reduce the opacity to around 72% 
7. Here is the finished result 
I've worked a bit more on mine changing it to black and white and knocking out the backgroun. this is what I ended up with

I like this. Simple and effective. It still keeps the texture of the skin and does not look artificial at all. Good one!  _________________ |
