03.11 Steampunk
This is my first attempt at Steampunk, so there is room for improvement. The image is bit two-dimensional, but my attempts at 3D just didn't look right. This is also my first attempt at posting a .PNG file, so I hope it works.

Very pretty! It's worth trying to make it 3D, though, just for the experience of doing so.

Pretty? I was trying for "butch". I will have another go at the 3D. The resolution leaves much to be desired. I will go back to jpegs. Thanks.

I like it Mariner. But what's the trouble with saving as PNG at a higher resolution?

Hi Sjef.
I am using CS3 and have probably done something wrong. I had to shut off dither to get below 122kb and the file size was then 105.7k.

Yes, PNG files are more wasteful than JPEGs, because of the transparency. Still, it's good to know you can do cutouts when you need to.
