A beautiful girl with her beautiful dog
This is one of my favourite pics, Anna with her vivacious Shih Tzu dog “Aubergine”, aged just 10 months (pictured closest to her) and Chubnut on her right. Auby is suddenly in doggy hospital suffering from Granulomatous Meningoencephalitis (GME) so I thought I would post in support for her lovely dog. She’s very devastated and the prognosis doesn’t appear that great. Her other dog is named “Tooquilos” (he had the name first), aged only 3 is about to go into hospital for an eye operation to cure his blindness. She’s having a dog of a week. Maybe you would like to offer your support or post pics your own loyal friend or something.

Very nice picture but very beautiful dog! Good recovery from them! I have a dog and it is true they are very endearing!

Clément Try reducing picture size to about 800 width. Then save as jpg reducing number quality until under 100kb

I can not even reducing the image. There is no other software image compression (I have a Panasonic Lumix TZ3)! cl&m&nt |

I use alien skin blowup, but reducing image size in photoshop also works well http://www.alienskin.com/blowup/ |

Cl&m&nt , Go to Image>Image Size then type 800 pixels as the longest side with resolution at 72 pixels (Screen resolution). Then File>Save for Web and adjust the quality slider until you get the file size showing slightly less than 100kb. Clement, Make sure you flatten the image. Then reduce the image size. Then go to Save for Web. When you select 'Save for Web' you will get this window. Select jpg. Drag the slider on the right to get the value at bottom left to below 100Kb. _________________ If at first you don't succeed then skydiving is not for you. |

Just a quick update on my little dogs. Tooquilos's operation went well and his sight has been restored. Auby is getting there, today was the first time he ate, cant walk properly as yet, but the vets assure he will, eventually. Lets hope. Are you using Save for web and devices? I usually find I have to reduce the image to between 700-900 pixels and the quality to 50%.  _________________ Perfect confidence is granted to the less talented as a consolation prize. |
