Interesting.

Is that just motion blur? I mean real motion blur? It's good how the subjects eyes are sharp.

How did you manage that?

Re: wildlife photography 2.0
hello paul,

it is just motion blur. i mean real motion blur. it is actually real motion blur behind a real wildlife grass jumping at me. i was faster so. it was shot using nikon f4, sb200, off camera cable, 20mm/2.8 nikon lens. it was shot with a smmaaall aperture and a loooooong shutter setting.
it was shot using two motions (and lots of emotions), one straight at me which was uncontrollable and a circular one with the camera which was. the setting on your flash has to provide a special feature which is not strobe. as i said you want the motion behind your object.
you use a digital camera i presume. experiment on it with no additional costs. and it was not a lucky one off shot. and yes it can be controlled and repeated.

i see it shining plain,

Not totally clear what you're telling us here. The shutter speed takes care of the ambient light blur, but by special setting are you referring to the flash firing at the end of the exposure. Second curtain sync, from memory. 'Real wildlife grass, what does this mean?

Re: wildlife photography 2.0
grass is policeman in jamaican i was told once in brixton. yes, of course nick, second curtain gets the motion behind the object, small aperture cares for dof. i just thought that since i was not taught how to do it, i didn´t even get the hints i provided, why should i part with the complete knowledge. digital photography is only about trial and error, not about one quid at the end of the week, do i shove it in the heater or do i buy film riddles.
