Stuck in the DULLDRUMS
I am having troubles getting inspired...Like my muse has stopped whispering. I am going on vacation in a couple of days maybe this will help. What methods have you all used to get the "fire" back in your belly?

Yes agree with Steve. Amazing how many different solutions come from here, even if some, including I go beyond the brief sometimes

Also try some good music, I mean creative, books as well.

There is no problem looking and learning from others creative works. There is a lot there, including here. I learn from others. More: inspires and supports our efforts.

Another direction, more difficult: find a problem. Think hard how to solve it with a novel solution. That's how to get a patent IMHO, but can work here too.

And look at the world outside or indoors. Have a go drawing/painting that, that will get your visual brain going fast. You don't have to keep it, its just part of a process.

Oh one last point, go running, walking, climbing and cycling. You get a natural high and have to imagine things during "boring" bits I know we all have different levels of exercise, so just my limited view, hope we can confer.

Try sailing too, or if want get very scared, rock climbing and mountaineering, though not much time think apart from when waiting for the second to to join the belay.

Serendipity is your friend.

I find it very difficult to find inspiration when I'm looking for it, so I generally wait till it walks up and slaps me in the face.

I also wander round tutorial sites and galleries to see if there's something I've never tried before.

Re: Stuck in the DULLDRUMS
Thanks for the advice. I am going to try and pick up kayaking that will give me something to do, and possibly help with the inspiration I need.
