For me I like the way the rocks are emerging from the sea in a primeval way Doug If I'm right around region you live/took photo there are many thick coal seams that go under the sea and are still mined. So for that I think your B/W rendition is perfect, especially given a lot of thin seams just get washed into the sea from cliffs. I could be completely wrong of course, but great piece of art.
