My first image on this this thread was high ISO before, but if interested this is what some of it looks like during the day. Sorry no sky, at that time, its typical winter day in the country....., .... it only cleared at night as when I posted first image... (My opinion it is built from concrete, but the Romans did that all the time ![]() ![]() |

Trevor I really like the first image. A real eerie glow about it _________________ Dorothy: "there's no place like home!" |

You caught that top image at just the right time Trever, while there's still colour in the sky. Excellent contrast with the building. Well taken! Nice detail in the bottom image too! Doug |

Thank you very much Anna and Doug. As spring arrives here in northern hemisphere get a bit more time for this, and nice when sun is low doing its sleepy tour, but camera/lens were pushed in my view. Amazing it can get an image, just small adjustments in RAW only. I like the ideas of the planets this time of year (north), won't see them much later. Sorry I've only been to southern hemisphere a few times but the Milky-way was amazing in Peru, and up here for my part of if get no street lights you can see a lo.t Freezing winter.... better if really cold, so it goes (small humidity in atmosphere) Sorry behind the tower, one planet missing, because so-so image, no tripod, the other images did not look so good. I like this one Trevor. The ambient light in the sky makes all the difference. There seems to be a fair amount of noise within the sky though (may be the resolution) and you may wish to try a split RAW conversion and for the sky area increase the noise reduction. That way you'll preserve the detail in the stonework. Nick |
