Thanks Nick. I can pass on a larger version to Steve if he wants to use it. Steve? This is the centre of Wilton once the capital of Wiltshire, maybe still is in its embodyment (Thomas Hardy country, "Tess of the Derbervils", "Far from the Maddening Crowd" etc, including Stone Henge of course) What I do find a bit disturbing is how they use old tomb stones (think?) as part of the pavement. There is recycling and recycling But I am probably wrong, the two women are probably berried below the stone (circa 1828(??) and 1844). Its still a bit weird though as part of the pavement/sidewalk in my mind. I would not mind though. Many walk over us in life, so why not when we are dead. ![]() |
