photoshop assisted drawing
this is a hand-drawing i did of the st.martins cathedral in mainz. the church celebrated its 1000th birthday last year. it is drawn from a photograph on a door panel sized 200cm x 90cm and is up for sale. even so it was displayed in the window of a jeweller for the last half year i did not flogg it, which understandably i am not too happy about. the cathedral itself burned down days after the construction works were finished a millenium ago. it would possibly be blasphemous if i would hope for... ![]() _________________ Was auch immer geschieht: Nie dürft ihr so tief sinken, von dem Kakao, durch den man euch zieht, auch noch zu trinken! Lovely picture, shame you didn't make the sale. Was the Jewellers the best choice to display? Your prospective buyer is going to be someone who is interested in art, and therefore would be looking to purchase from outlets that sell art and not jewellery. Might be worth considering doing a deal with a local gallery, sure you will have to pay them a percentage commission, but 80% of something is better than 100% of nothing! It's still a lovely piece of work Regards _________________ Mark Goodwin If you do what you have always done, you'll get what you've always got! |
