Fyi, I will be joining. Use SO already, but limited. More to learn especially since after started to use them. They are great with filters etc. and with masking the effects ..... With this subject I'm sure Steve will open more aspects. Very interesting for me...... Trust and hope can see several others here  ....

I enjoyed this Steve with your host. Sorry if my text questions were not very clear it kept breaking up, (I'll PM). I forgot, I have never use the Smart Objects, but it is powerful tool as you said it is "container" of original picture. One simple metaphorical explanation and all is clear. One of great thing is that you can change the effect layer, really nice.
