The Great Outdoors
Finally! Steve, I've painted dozens of landscapes w/oils, acrylics, WC - you name it......but none of them were as hard as this project! I know there are plenty of things kinda amiss, but I'm satisfied for now. Springtime in northern California defintely influenced some of my decisions, and that's kind of reflected here. Anxious to move on to the next project. Any/all comments/suggestions welcomed. Exhausted, Joey |

Magnificent, Joey! I love the wild flowers, and those birds are a tremendous addition (I wish I'd thought of that!). The pane of glass is a nice touch, and the rocks in the pond work well. You're right, this is a tricky one. But worth the effort, don't you think? |

Re: The Great Outdoors
Thank you, Steve! And, yes - certainly IS worth the effort - the extra gray hairs I could've done without, tho! The birds were fun - loving the pen tool. That area just begged for something. Despite the struggle, I'm learning sooo much! And, I'm trying to "work it out" myself when I hit a snag .......... however -here's one I haven't resolved: When I did the wild flowers, following the directions, they ended up kind of transparent (see the foreground flowers). Am I not making my new brush dark enough? Hmmmm........ Joey |

Re: The Great Outdoors
The paler the colour in the brush design, the lighter the brush will come out. A simple solution is to duplicate the flowers layer, which will make them more transparent. |

But I don't want them to be MORE transparent........Joey |
