Challenge 283: the animation test
We've seen many running animals and people from James, and last week we had a dancing snowman from Anna. But how difficult is it to create animated movement? This is your chance to find out. Take the profile figure below, and make her walk across the screen. To make it simpler, I've chosen a figure with one arm holding a bag, so it's only the other arm that will need to be animated - in addition to the legs, of course. For those new to animation this isn't going to be an easy challenge, but I'm hoping James, Anna (tooquilos) and Becky (maiden) will be on hand to answer your questions. High res is here.  |

Well thanks a lot Steve, this is the second challenge I have seen, and I have never done an animation before. Now that is a challenge! Read your item on this issue in HTCIP, so at least I have a fighting chance!!!!!!!!

hey brewell, it wasn´t necessary but it does indeed work. i like that very much, especially as you took the effort and worked with shadowcast. my effort was finding a picture where i wouldn´t have to deal with that on top. how many layers did you have? i had 68 and reckon it was too many.

Wow.......... i think i'm a liiiiiiiiiiiiittle out of my league on this challenge. i don't even know how to go about doing an animation in the first place. any advice? |
