still fighting the reflections
Wasn't sure if it's ok to keep 'trying' on the challenge page - hope it's ok here. I have tried again with the reflections - the first time was trying to go 'by the book', the second one was trying to copy the original photo and this one is trying to follow your instructions on the Friday wrap up. The 'defringe' was great, I hadn't tried that one before ![]() ![]() |

Re: still fighting the reflections
I am working on the theory that the opacity would increase the further away from the light source each window (reflection) is placed? So the window nearest the camera would have the least light reflected? I think putting black in behind the 'glass' was a really poor choice.... ![]() |

Re: still fighting the reflections
I suppose there would be a degree of fade the further away from the light source but not really as much as in your picture, Eventer. However the angle of the reflection would certainly change. If you look in the original picture the reflections in the left-hand display cases are not of the window at the bottom of the row but of another set of windows behind the right-hand set of display cases which you can see because the nearest display case on the left is also reflecting the display case on the right. The angle is far too acute to be reflecting the window with the statue. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Fantastic Find Atomicfog! I love Andrew Loomis, I own book on figure drawing. I followed a few links on the site and found some terrific sites for anatomy references, too. |
