My grandson is very much into dinosauers. I combined two pictures for the attached and welcome opinions. ![]() |

Re: Dinosauers
You've got a couple of great images there, Martin - but I'm not sure you've combined them to their best potential. The most obvious problem is that the photo of your grandson is of a very different contrast and colouring to the dinosaur and its background. You could adjust him to fit, but I think you'd be better off sharpening and increasing the contrast on the dinosaur: it has the sort of skin that could take a massive dose of Unsharp Mask without degradation. But while you're at it, why not lift the beast off its background? Surely the impact of the dinosaur would be greatly enhanced by placing it in a contemporary setting - in other words, put the dinosaur into your grandson's world, rather than him into its. This would also avoid the problem of the stork in the background appearing unfortunately merged into the dinosaur's neck. This would make a great Friday Challenge, if you were able to supply us with the two original images! |

Re: Dinosauers
I agree with Steve but would also like to add that as far a composition is concerned the child and the dinosaur seem detached in that they are both looking in opposite directions with the child's eyeline pointing towards the dinosaur's neck but if you were to flip your grandson horizonally (not literally ha,ha) it would improve the sense belonging and give an extra dimension. Like so: ![]() Sorry about the backdrop it was rushed just to illustrate the point. _________________ mad as a badger and twice as furry |

Re: Dinosauers
OK, no more attempts at this one here! It's going to be this week's Friday Challenge! Marty, do you have your grandson as a cutout to make him easier to select? |

Re: Dinosauers
Oh, just large enough to work with, I'd say! Perhaps the same size as the dinosaur in the original pic you posted? And could we have the dinosaur pic, to that size, as well? Many thanks for helping out! |
