It must have been his sister that I saw in the Embankment tube station. ![]() |

What a great array of faces and good skin tones. Whaler's wide central parting is brilliant. Was that a selection of real hair or did you make it? Chris, was it the actor John Guilgud you were thinking of or a closer aquaintance? Ted |

Re: Contest 79: Bring him to life
I'm glad you liked the hair, Eggbox! To answer your question: the hair is a little of both. The base comes from the man in file 8041169.jpg on the CD. Then I used Free transform, a favourite tool, to make the basic shape look right. On top of that I used the Smudge tool, brush size 1 pixel, to draw in new hair. I also used the Smudge tool on the layer mask to make the edges uneven. This was for the left side in the picture. For the right the same technique was used but this time I just mirrored the left layer on a new layer and removed most of it using the mask on that layer. Hope that explains it _________________ In general, never generalize |

He's taken up acting and landed to roll of Compo. He's no more alive than before but at least he feels more at home. ![]() |

Re: Contest 79: Bring him to life
not much spare time lately so no turning statues into real life - in answer to Chris's puzzle I reckon he's the spit of that actor with the hugely overinflated ego, John Sessions ![]() _________________ most of the lack of sunshine in our lives is caused by us standing in our own shadow |

Mhmm I think I was actually thinking of the guy from lost, however Guilgud is certainly a resemblance. Think he's a better actor than Sessions though. |

It looks like Kenney dug deeper into the archives and found a picture of our lady before she became a baglady hanging out in the tube station. |

nice work neal. could I ask your technique for getting rid of the grainy dark texture under his eyes and on his cheeks, and only limited it to his beard area? |
