Along with cricket I detest football---I 'ates it...I 'ates it. ...um...er, I hope my sentiment didn't get in the way of a damn good design. _________________ Just because I've read a book doesn't mean that I know what I'm talking about...sigh! |

Mguyer, with that trophy sitting on the playing field, I doubt there would be any soccer played! I hope no one things I'm taking the prize and dropping out of site, but this weeks challenge has not given me one bit of inspiration. I am not a sports fan at all and the only sports played in this house are basketball (my daughters) and hockey (my husband). Unless I get some kind of inspiration I might pass this week. Also it's my last week of peace. 5 more days and school is out!! _________________ Pauline |

I've always thought Pierluigi Collina would make a good cup - he's also got the right ears for lifting it too

Speaking for all Americans, soccer is not a sport, it's a game for 5-10 year old girls to play. For an activity to qualify as a "real sport" it must include firearms, helmets and/or internal-combustion engines. For example: Nascar is a real sport. It's hard to beat the excitement of watching cars run in circles for 500 or 600 miles while effortlessly wasting precious natural resources and senselessly polluting the environment. ![]() |

Actually, North-American FOOTBALL is a real sport. Over grown kids with overgrown muscles, dressed with pads and helmets chasing a mssile shaped ball that they throw at each other and that you cant kick straight, ... ad beer and hot dogs and you're good to go! PS: At least the States got there... and happy 100th reply JW

If you want a real game, go for Rugby. This is just the warm up. ![]() |
